Gold Stars on first day of YHFR’s new season!

 In Latest News

The legend that is Glimpse of Gold was sent off as the 18/1 outsider in the valuable class 3 hurdle race at Fontwell on 4 September and as the first runner of the new season for Yen Hall Farm Racing. Having won 7 races since his first run for the yard in September 2020 (and a hattrick in 2022 already), the irrepressible 11 year old gelding who thinks that he is still a 6 year old ran another superb race under an excellent ride by Jay Tidball. Although strongly challenged and pushed back to fifth around the final turn, Gold showed great strength of character and stayed on strongly to be the only runner to press the well-fancied winner in the closing stages. Gold is more than twice the age of the winner and left the rest of the field struggling behind.

That result alone means that the members of Yen Hall Farm Racing have already won back more than their membership fee for the whole month of September – a good way to start the season! There are still a few spaces available in YHFR – to learn more, please click on the tab or follow the link on the first page – or give me a call.
