Time for Tigga!
Tigga Time (aka Tigga) won the conditional jockeys 2 1/2 mile hurdle at Huntingdon on 11 November. We are thrilled for his owners, Gordon and Marie Clements, who have been so patient with him after he sustained an injury resulting in a lay-off of over 460 days before joining us earlier this year. He is a lovely horse who clearly has ability and will win again before long.
Our conditional, Jamie Gambin, rode an excellent race and had Tigga nicely settled behind the leaders until the second last hurdle when he went ahead and stayed nicely to win the race comfortably by a length. This was Jamie’s third win from just 12 rides this season, an impressive 25% strike rate. This was Tigga’s second start for the yard, the first being at Worcester last month after his very long lay-off. That run had pleased us and tuned Tigga up nicely for his win. He jumped and travelled well at Huntingdon and seemed to enjoy being on the track again. We are confident that there is more to come from him and he will definitely jump chases fences and so we have plenty of options to discuss with his owners.
On the same card, Four Towns ran again for our racing club, Yen Hall Farm Racing, and won some more money for the club!
