Cash is King!

Cash (aka Itaintmebabe – after the Dylan/Johnny Cash hit!) won the conditional jockeys’ 2 1/2 mile handicap hurdle at Fakenham on 29 October. Ridden very well by our conditional, Jamie Gambin, Cash scored comfortably by 8 1/2 lengths, despite being sent off as the outsider at 18/1. As instructed, Jamie had Cash nicely settled in 4th place for the first circuit and a half but then allowed Cash to stride on and, with excellent jumping, they eased into the lead approaching the third last hurdle and soon had their rivals in trouble. Having had a lovely jump at the final obstacle, they then pulled further away for the win. This was an important milestone for Jamie who has now lost his 10 pound claim and has an impressive 22% win strike rate for the current season. Well done Cash and Jamie and all the team!
