Ronnie Wins at Plumpton

Synchronist (aka Ronnie) won the two mile handicap hurdle race at Plumpton on 21 April, the second day of Plumpton’s two-day Easter Festival meeting. This win followed his win at Southwell on 3 March and his valiant second at Ffos Las on 20 March. Ronnie was very green when he came to us but he has matured quickly and improved greatly. Tom Cannon gave him an excellent ride and it was particularly good that that was Tom’s 100 winning ride at Plumpton – a great achievement! Ronnie has now had two wins and a second from his six starts over hurdles. The plan is give him a break and then send him chasing.

On the same card, Lyrical Genius finished second in a handicap chase over an extended 3 miles 1 1/2 furlongs. We were delighted as Lyric was sent off last in the betting and, although he needed lots of encouragement from Tom Cannon, he stuck to his task and was beaten only just over 2 lengths.

The Sarah Humphrey Racing team ended the Plumpton Festival with two wins and a second from three runners and it brings the recent total to 3 wins and a second from just five runs in ten days. We shall try to keep the winners rolling in!
