Jet Wins Again!
Jack’s Touch (aka Jet) jumped superbly to win the 2 mile 5 furlong steeplechase at Fakenham on 19 December. The conditions were tough. Although the ground was called “soft” before the race, the classification was changed to “heavy” once the stewards had watched her race. Jet showed excellent character and ability – particularly as she was carrying top weight of 12 stone and it is significant that only four horses finished the race and that the other three finishers were all carrying 11 stone 5 pounds or less – all the others pulled up. Jet was ridden by Daryl Jacob who had won on her at Leicester on 20 November and who had partnered Milan Bridge to victory at Plumpton yesterday.
